Civilians, mostly men and children, gather at a market in front of the Catholic church in Corinto, El Salvador, a rebel controlled town. Few guerrillas walk aroud the plaza. At the base of the bell tower, a slogan reads, "Because we are one people, we are invincible." This area in the department of Morazán was a stronghold of the guerrilla movement through the entire civil war (1979-1992).
