Description
Photograph of a view of a crowd in the Long Beach Pike area, ca.1932. A wide concrete walkway runs from the foreground to the background at center. Hundreds of people can be seen milling around on the walkway, looking in the shops that line both sides. The elaborate façade of a theatre can be seen at left, while in the background, a massive light-colored building can be seen.
Legible signs include, from left: "New Strand", "This Reckless Age", "Fanny Foley Herself", "2 Features", "Plunge", "Café", and "Café Cunningham's Café".
