Description
Photograph of Madam Begón's corner store in Sonora Town, 1905. A man in a dark suit and hat stands against a telephone pole with his hand on his hip in front of the corner building of Madam Begón's store. The building, from which other shops appear to extend on either side, has concrete walls riddled with peeling flyers and advertisements, some of which read "SOAP" and "Sale". A wooden overhang shades both of the closed doors to the shop, situated on either side of the corner. In the foreground, the intersection of two unpaved streets can be seen.
