Record of a raid conducted by Ely Kershaw upon the orders of Andrew Williamson between March 3 and April 23 to the region of Congaree River, Augusta, and Three Rivers. Included are orders and communications between Kershaw and Williamson. Also included is a list entitled "Amount of Publick Tents, etc. del'd to Col. Kershaw Regt. of Militia. 26 Feb. 1779." (f. 31-31v.). In spring of 1779, a detachment of Georgia militia under Lieutenant Colonel Ely Kershaw took part in the operations against Loyalists on the South Carolina and Georgia frontier, which were launched by Brigadier General Andrew Williamson in the aftermath of the Battle of Kettle Creek.
