Title supplied by cataloger. Santa Monica High School was founded in 1891 and changed locations several times in its early years before settling into its present campus. A 'new' campus opened in 1912 with one building and an enrollment of 50 students, and sat atop the hill between 4th and 7th streets and Pico and Olympic Blvds. In 1952, Santa Monica High School was finally expanded to what it is now, 33 acres, and two new buildings were built. In February 2015, a new Science and Technology Building was constructed along with an outdoor gathering space called Centennial Plaza. Santa Monica High School is located at 601 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA 90405. Side view of the facade of Santa Monica High School at the end of construction. Several adjacent buildings can be seen on either side of the main building. The high school was located atop Prospect Hill between 4th and 7th Streets, and Pico and Olympic Boulevards.
