Description
"Dr. Keevill und Schw. Petersen bei der Behandlung eines Schlafkranken" ("Dr. Keevill and sis[ter] Petersen treating a person suffering from sleeping sickness"). Sister Petersen is standing on the left, bent over an African man sitting in front of a hut made of bricks. Sister Petersen is touching his arm with her fingers. On the right Dr. Keevill squatting in front of the man and giving him an injection.
c.f. picture no. IMP-HRN-BOX-UNY-1-06792. It shows Dr. Keevill and sister Pedersen in Sikonge's hospital. This picture was taken between 1929/1930.--Sister Petersen's name is spellt Pedersen in other sources.--Pedersen, Margareta. She worked as a nurse in Unyamwezi from 1928 until unknown.
