Photograph of a view of Mount Tom from Bishop, ca.1930. The snow-capped mountain is in the distance at center and is flanked by other tall peaks. A wide, flat plain is in the foreground and is interrupted only by small copses of trees. The area in the immediate foreground is free of any trees or buildings. Mount Whitney is the tallest mountain in the continental United States.
