Astronomer Nicholas Mayall, of the Lick Observatory, writes to EPH, thanking him for the opportunity to be part of the informal conference on nebulae. He is working on a memo addressing the main nebular problems, approaches to solving them, and plans for how Lick Observatory may work on the issues. He has sent his list of expenses directly to Walter Adams, and thanks EPH for arranging his stay at the Athenaeum. A statement of transportation expenses, May 30-June 21, 1939 is included.
