Description
Henry H. Markham, was a United States Representative from 1885 to 1887 and Governor of California from 1891 to 1895. California's 18th governor, Henry Harrison Markham - a Civil War veteran was referred to as "the dashing colonel from Pasadena". The Markham house was located at 703 S. Pasadena Ave. in 1905, but was demolished in 1939.
