Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Los Angeles looking northwest from the Carthay Circle Theatre, ca.1929. Two sets of railroad track run down the center of San Vicente Boulevard. Automobiles are parked alongside them. Houses are visible in the residential area on the far side of the street, beyond which a field of oil siphons can be seen. A sign in the foreground reads "Drugs" where the shadow of a church's bell tower can be seen.
