Photograph article dated February 14, 1964 partially reads, "Boating safety has become the cornerstone of U.S. power squadrons in Southern California and the Valley. District 13, which includes two Valley squadrons, has reestablished a booth at the Southern California Boat Show opening today at the Pan Pacific Auditorium, Los Angeles. The booth, illustrating the proper techniques of navigation, will be open during the run of the show, to Feb. 24." Pictured are the Paul Smith family, left to right, Timmie Smith, Paul, granddaughter Teri and daughter Harriette. They check some of the boat's safety equipment before leaving for a weekend of boating in Southern California.
