Description: Thousands of people enjoyed the Sunset Junction Street Fair along Santa Monica Boulevard. In this photo, we see two sets of couples walking away from the camera and hundreds more as far as the eye can see. The annual fair features ethnic foods, artisans, beer gardens, live entertainment and architectural tours, and usually occurs in late August; a large portion of Sunset Boulevard is closed off. The two-day neighborhood festival was first held in 1980 and is put on by the Sunset Junction Neighborhood Alliance. Photograph dated August 24, 1997.
