Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on October 17, 1970 states: "Part of a model of a planned "conservation-oriented" condominium development on 281 acres at Carnelian Bay on Lake Tahoe's north shore is seen here. The 942-unit development is planned by M. J. Brock and Sons Inc. of Sacramento with structures occupying only 15 per cent of the wooded site. Construction at Carnelian Woods will be phased over a seven- to nine-year period with the units costing from $27,000 to $35,000. Placer County supervisors have approved the project."
