The show ran from Photograph caption dated June 19, 1961 reads "Amanda Blake, honorary mayor of Reseda, and Fred Blonsky, Reseda Chamber of Commerce president, 18317 Sherman Way, consult with Clifford Standing, 16010 Simonds St., Granada Hills, civil defense zone coordinator, as they launch a survey to determine availability of civil defense resources in the community. Twelve members of the Republican Woman's Club will do groundwork for Gunsmoke, a TV series."
