Photograph of an Indian woman with her papoose on her back, ca.1880-1920. Clad in Indian garb with tassels along the hems and sides, the woman faces left, with her baby strapped tight to her backside. The child is bundled tight with cloth, onto a wicker panel that strings around the woman's forehead. On the floor around the two stand several wicker containers and bowl-like devices.
