Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated June 18, 1962 reads, "And a pretty dish it is too. It's actress Diane Dauncey feeding a wayward, homeless squirrel a meal of walnuts and skim milk. Diane, 24, Van Nuys, found the small squirrel on her lawn six weeks ago. Apparently it had fallen from a palm tree, she said, as workmen trimmed it in front of her home. Diane, who had just completed two films, 'Madcap' and 'Spring Affair,' said her spring affair involves a madcap schedule-up every three hours to feed her squirrel with a dolly bottle. The animal sits in a teacup and she says it isn't growing very fast."
