Description: John W. Schilling, employee of the sheriff's office of identification, is shown looking for the presence of fingerprints on a letter sent to District Attorney Buron Fitts, who was wounded by gunfire. The letter reads: "Keep your eyes on the road to liberty." Authorities believe that the letter, postmarked two hours before Buron Fitts was shot, may have been mailed by some person sent to prison by the prosecutor. Photo dated: March 9, 1937.
