Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Carnegie Public Library in Nevada City, 1907. The building at center is made of dark brick with a cement foundation that can be seen behind the street in the foreground and below street level until out of view. A cement staircase leads from the road on the right to the arched doorways with the words "Public Library" spelled above. The many windows on either side of the library are rectangular except for a small arched window near the entrance. A metal fence separates the road from the grassy hill that slopes down to the left out of view next to the library's foundation. Trees shade the background.
