The case was brought against Hedy by her two lawyers, Morton B. Harper and William G. Israel, who claimed that she owed them $15,500 for past services. Lamarr starred in the Italian-made "The Love of Three Queens," which was only shown in Italy and, therefore, didn't generate any profits and ultimately left Lamarr without the funds to pay her lawyers.
