Description
Two women are standing outdoors near a wall. The woman on the left entertains a dog at her feet with her riding crop. She wears a black low-crowned flat brimmed hat with a black lace veil in the back. Her riding costume is brown with a trailing hem, and a matching front buttoned jacket with a peplum. Under the jacket she wears a white collared shirt. The woman on the right leans her arm on the wall and looks out over a body of water. She wears a white bonnet with yellow and purple flowers, and white ribbons. Her bodice or jacket is black with a white lace collar and gathered sleeves of her blouse underneath. Her skirt is a bold large plaid in red, light blue, and white, with bands of black. Her shawl is a multicolored floral pattern, in pink and light blue, with fringed hems.
