Description
Article by Peter F. Drucker on the role and objectives of change leaders in an organization. Drucker discusses how change is inevitable in organizations, and how organizations must be leaders in facilitating change in order to stay successful and current. For Drucker, change includes the ability and desire of change leaders to alter what is already being done in addition to willingness to do new and different things. Topically, Drucker suggests several categories in order to facilitate change, which include abandoning yesterday, improving systematically, global competitiveness, and addressing the growing gulf between economic globalization and political splintering. Ultimately, Drucker states that organizations should be interested in making the future through proactive change, rather than having the future possibly injure an inflexible organization.
