"Native bridge over the Nyame River, Mkasu. This bridge was swept away the day after I crossed". View of a roughly constructed bridge made from lengths of tree trunks, tied together, and placed between rocks on either bank of the river. Taken in Tanganyika [Tanzania]. ❧ This image belongs to an album of photographs collected by Dr. Stevenson and includes images from India, China and Africa.
