Description
Slab inscription of Mahapali Refectory: Reign: King Mahinda IV (956-972 AD) Period: 10th century text in Medieval Sinhala: This has been inscribed on the tenth day of the waning moon in the lunar month of Medin (February-March) in the 16th year of the reign of King Mahinda IV. The inscription records the rules for administration of lands and villages belonging to the royal family.
