A lavishly decorated stone urinal with a drain, located just outside the boundary of a monastery. Two carved lion figures are on either side. At the top of the arch are two makara heads flanking an ornamental lotus, which would have supported a water-jar. Underneath such urinal stones was a filter system with three pots placed one on top of the other and filled with sand and charcoal one draining into the other-- similar to a modern septic tank.
