Historical photo copied August 18, 1937.
Panoramic view of Santa Monica looking toward the north beach where the amusement center started. Note the haunted swing to the left center of the photo. The area is north of the Santa Monica pier, built in 1895. The view shows Eckert and Hopt's new restaurant building and Jones bath house beyond, as well as the bandstand on the bluff.
