"On the left were the Gearhart twins, Jean and Jane (white sweaters). I (Dale) am in the center with two trophies, one for Hi Point Jr. Class, and the other was second place Hi Point over all classes. Percy Meek to right won one trophy for Hi Point Sr. class, and first place Hi Point over all classes. This was in 1956. My mother, Grace Smith, is sitting to the right. The 'point' system was achieved by winning trophies and ribbons during the year. You received higher points for each first place during the, several horse shows and lower points for 2nd and 3rd places. Whoever had the most points during that year, would win accordingly. This point system in 1957, I won Hi Point over all in both Trancas Riders and Malibu Riders Clubs." complete;
