Description
Tinted lantern slide of a group of boys and girls of varying ages in front of what may be a school house. Smaller boys and girls sit at the front of the portrait, whilst older children stand towards the back. A man in a suit, who may be a teacher or pastor, stands behind the group, and another less formally dressed man leans on the doorframe to the building. A poster is fixed to the building wall. This slide comes from a set on mission, culture and industry in Calabar, southeast Nigeria generated by the Church of Scotland and the United Free Church of Scotland (which was incorporated with the Church of Scotland in 1929.)
