Several men and women dressed in Christmas costumes, with the help of an old-fashioned crane, can be seen decorating a streetlight with castle and icicles. All the streetlights in Downtown L.A. would eventually have the same decorations. These decorations were set up by the L.A. Chamber of Commerce to promote a "Christmas Outdoor" celebration. The identifiable buildings on the left side of the photograph are: United States Building and Loan located at 735 W. 7th St., and the Union Oil building, built in 1922 by Curlett & Beelman.
