Description
Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara. Detail of upper torso and head. The upper torso lacks clothing, but is decorated with different necklaces as well as a narrow decorated band across the chest. The ornate headress has an image of Amitabha, the principal and celestial Buddha in Pure Land Buddhism, who is described in Mahāyāna scriptures.
