Description
Photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on June 22, 1972 states: "Scores of workers fought rushing water and approaching darkness to erect an emergency dike around the southern edge of Isleton late yesterday to protect the delta town from flooding. (Subject photo) Huge sheets of plastic were drawn over the barrier in an effort to keep dirt from washing away."
