Detail of ornate guardstone on left side of stairway with a seven-hooded Nagaraja and Sanka nidhi (at right, in an unusual laughing attitude) and Padma nidhi flanking his feet. The sculptured trunk of an elephant on the left side of the guardstone also is visible.
