Image shows view of the Charles Henry and Cora Belle Cheney residence, located on Via del Monte on lots 15, 16, 17, and 18, block 1615, tract 6884 in Malaga Cove. View looking northwest shows front patio and entrance to the two-story, stucco house with tile roof, chimney and attached two-car garage. A long balcony with several potted plants overlooks grassy area with stone walkways, and arched coffered front door. A dog is lying in the sitting area located beneath the balcony. Charles H. Cheney (1884-1943) was city planner for the Palos Verdes Project and served on the Palos Verdes Art Jury from its inception in 1922 through 1940.
