Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Library at Stanford University following the 1906 earthquake, 1906. A wide, stone dome with a glass top balances on the bare skeleton that supports it below. The walls are crumbled around thick, stone pillars and the roof lies in sheets on top of the debris on either side of the dome. A small, wooden structure can be seen on the left with "09" written across the wall. A small yard stands in front of the wooden structure with a dirt road in the foreground that curves around it.
