Veterans of the Spanish-American War stand in a circle at center in the cavalry uniforms, while more men in infantry uniforms stand in a line to the left, bearing American flags. Civilian spectators stand behind them and on the sidewalk to the right. Commercial shops line the street to either side. Legible signs include: "Hatzfeld's Drug Store", "Drugs", "Center", "Meat Market", "Real Estate", "New Commercial Hotel", "Hotel Bar", "Geo. W. Walker's [...] Cigars 5¢", and "[...] Favorite Saloon".
