Description
Construction began on this elevated cycle path in 1898. The Pasadena cycleway was intended to extend nine miles from Los Angeles to Pasadena. After completing two miles, builders were forced to stop because of interference from the Southern Pacific Railroad. SP wanted to retain its transportation monopoly between the two cities.
