Description
Photograph of "the Cathedral of Hakodate in August 1909." There is wood scaffolding on the left side and in front of the cathdral. On the ground is construction debris and building materials. The new cathedral is made of brick. Set high in the facade above a circular window is a Madonna and Child statue. A priest stands with his hands behind his back near the steps to the cathedral.
