Note: "Nro. 8 u. 9 [QC-30.016.0003-0004] ... die Gräber der letzten Kurgkönige u. ihrer Frauen, sie stehen am oberen Ende des Bazaars, wie aus Nro. 9 zu ersehen ist. Ihre Bauart ist ganz nach muhamedan. ... [unleserlich] ... u. auch gleichsam Moschee, wie der Hindu Tempel vor dem Fort. Ihre gute Erhaltung ist der Verdienst der engl. Regierung, die mit weiterl. Fürsorge u. Liberalität diese den Kurgs indifferenten Grabstätten bewachen u. erhalten lässt.... [Es folgt ca. 1/2 Seite Text] ." (2. Quartalsbericht 21.07.1860: 7-8). Note translation: "Nos. 8 & 9 [QC-30.016.0003-0004]. ... The graves of the last Kurg Kings and their wives. They stand at the upper end of the bazaar, as you can see from No. 9. They are built entirely according to muslim ... [illegible] ... as is the mosque and the hindu temple outside the fort. Their good state of preservation is thanks to the English government, which with care, foresight and liberality looks after and preserves these burial places to which the Kurgs have become indifferent.
