Photograph of the exterior of Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church on Hollywood Boulevard between Vine Street and Ivar Street, ca.1898. The door and front face of a brick cottage overrun by plant growth is shown. The door is modest and sports a small overhang. A tree with hanging vines is centered behind a brick enclosure in front of which a short hedgerow has been planted. To the extreme right, a second overhang and annex of the church is overgrown by vines, as well as being surrounded by a hedgrow.
