Description
Image is of a table of distances listed in seven columns within a ruled border. The table gives the distances from various international points to San Francisco, and routes and distances within the mining country. There are over 500 towns and mining camps named. "Persons observing any inaccuracy or omission in the above Table, will confer a favor by informing the Publishers of the same. Please address Hutchings & Wadsworth, Express Book Store, 150 Sacramento Street, San Francisco."--text, at bottom of table. "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1855, by James M. Hutchings, in the Clerk's office of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California."--text, below image. Paper color: blue.
According to Sloan, Henry H. Clifford found this item very useful for preparing his map of the "Mother Lode 1860-60."
