Description
Photograph caption dated January 23, 1961 reads "More than 200 youngsters kept Dixie Canyon PTA members and Van Nuys Optimists busy from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the unit-sponsored bicycle rodeo. Finally tally showed 61 new licenses and 150 'old riders' participating in tests. Youngest applicant was Judith Schnaer, 5, leading bike parade with Clipper Smith, 11. Optimist president, Henry Helfman, left, supervised. PTA members, Mmes. S. Grossberger and Elmer Schnaer were among assistants."
