Legion Ascot Speedway operated 1924-1936 in City Terrace, East Los Angeles. (Source: “History of America's Speedways, Past and Present" by Allan E. Brown). Shorty Cantlon had a long career that included Legion Ascot and 13 appearances at Indy. He died at Indianapolis in 1947.
