A close up of the restored large wooden door of the Higuera-Galindo Adobe There is a large lock on the door and a dirt floor leads all the way to the entrance. The building was restored and preserved by historical architect Gilbert Sanchez and contractor C.F. Buckley in 1978. It was the first adobe in California restored using authentically rebuilt non-stabilized adobe bricks and plaster rather than modern substances.
