Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated May 16, 1962 reads, "Anne Bancroft, left, receives a hug from Red Buttons and the look of envy that only another actress can give from Eva Marie Saint after the recent preview screening of Miss Bancroft's new picture, 'The Miracle Worker.' Opening May 23 at the Fine Arts, 'Miracle' tells powerful story of the early instruction of Helen Keller. Miss Bancroft repeats her Broadway role as the teacher, while Patty Duke does same as young Helen. Both give Oscar performances."
