Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on May 5, 1964 states: "An Indian burial ground with skeletal remains of three Indians was discovered during excavations for the installation of electricity at the restoration of the Pena Adobe, near Vacaville, Solano County. Beads and other artifacts will be added to the collection gathered for the restoration of the historic home. The Indian bones will be reburied in the area. Merle G. Curtice, in charge of the restoration, is cleaning the burial area."
