Description
Dress, child's black satin. Back closure with 6 actual buttons, covered with ruffled placket and 9 decorative buttons. The dress is shaped to follow the body form, fitted at the waist, with ruffles and pleats to add fullness above the hemline. Set-in long sleeves are fitted and trimmed at the cuff with ruching, pleats, and lace. The collar is trimmed with lace and a ruffle that forms a bib on the bodice of the dress in an accent fabric of iridescent purple that also appears at the cuff, on the back placket, and on the pleats at the hem line. The same iridescent purple is used to form a pocket and bow on the right side of the dress, and as binding at the seam between the sleeves and the body of the dress. The dress is fully lined in cotton.
