Photograph caption dated September 20, 1950 reads, "Mounties' group - Junior horsemen and horsewomen are being trained to preserve the high favor which the horse enjoys in the affection of Northridge. This mounted squad, in the uniforms worn in amateur competition, from left to right, Nancy Gollees, Chuck Pannier, Betty Hopkins, Jack Mather Jr., Tex Loder, Jo Ann Baylor, Ronny Laushner. Their first lesson was on keeping their steeds in neat condition and they have learned it well. Mounties have appeared in TV shows and numerous junior rodeos."
