Photograph article dated December 27, 1962 partially reads, "One of the special memories in a woman's life - her first formal ball - will be recalled New Year's Day with thousands of flowers shaped into a fragrant pattern by a group of Burbank citizens. This unforgettable event will be but one of the 'Memorable Moments' depicted by scores of floats in Tuesday morning's 1963 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. But to the people of Burbank their float, 'Cotillion,' represents more than the moment in a young girl's life when she steps into a floor-length gown to attend her first gala ball. The sweeping, 48-foot blossom covered float, which will make its appearance in the 1963 parade, is the culmination of 12 months of planning and labor by members of the Burbank Tournament of Roses Association in cooperation with the City of Burbank." Photograph caption reads, "Jane puts finishing touches on Susan's page boy. Diane gingerly sits in ink formal, patiently waits for friends."; See images #00135897 through #00135899 for all photos in this series.
