Photograph article dated November 26, 1960 partially reads, "Jim Honberger: A 200-pound driving fullback, one of the outstanding prep football stars in the Southland. The bulldozing Honberger played a great defensive game. Sprint star on the Wolves track team. Leading scorer on in the city with 96 points. Scored four touchdowns against Grant. Scored three times against North Hollywood including a 85-yard run. He also gained 123 yards in 12 carries against the Huskies for a 10.3 average. Headed for Colorado State College. (6-1, 200)." Honberger was selected for the 1960 Valley Times TODAY All-East Valley League football team. Photograph caption dated December 22, 1959 reads, "Jim Honberger, Back - Van Nuys". Honberger is a member of the 1959 Helms All-East Valley League football squad.
