Board of Police Commissioners of Los Angeles, the civil suit that Chief of Police Daryl Gates brought against the city of Los Angeles after the Board of Police Commissioners elected to place Gates on administrative leave. Included in the series are summaries of case hearings, appendices containing materials related to the suit, one interview summary, and a summary of an essay regarding the history of urban policing.
