Description
Don Ziehl served as La Cañada Flintridge School District Superintendent from 1964-1988. He discusses how he helped to shape the policies, practices and culture os the school district during his tenure. With changes in state funding of schools, Dr. Ziehl created the first community-based educational foundation to channel private donations to school funding needs, created a public/private partnership with the Assistance League and YMCA to provide elementary summer school, arts and music education, as well as day care opportunities.
